Free · private · no sign-up

Your everyday texts, one tap from copied.

CopyCat keeps the replies, messages and prompts you use over and over in one tidy place. Click once to copy. Works right in your browser.

Your snippets stay on your device. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

How it works

Three small steps, and you will stop retyping the same things.

1

Save it once

Add the message, reply or prompt you keep retyping. Give it a title and a color.

2

Sort it your way

Put it in a tab and a group, pin your favorites, and drag things into the order you like.

3

Copy in one click

Tap the copy button, or press Ctrl+K and search. Paste it anywhere.

Made for the things you paste all day

Simple on the surface, with a few thoughtful details underneath.

Tabs and colored groups

Keep work, personal and side projects apart. Color-code groups so the right snippet is easy to spot.

Quick copy

Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac), type a few letters, hit Enter. Copied, without leaving what you were doing.

Mark and hide

Highlight the one part you need, and hide private bits as dots. They still copy in full when you tap them.

Private by design

No account, no upload. Your snippets live on your device, so there is nothing for us to leak.

Optional encryption

Lock sensitive snippets behind a passphrase with AES-256. Auto-lock after a few minutes of inactivity.

Works offline

Install it like an app and open it with no connection. Light and dark themes included.

Questions people ask

Is CopyCat really free?

Yes. Everything in the app is free. The website is supported by ads, which only load if you allow them. There is no account and no paywall.

Where are my snippets stored?

On your own device, in your browser's storage. They are never uploaded, so we cannot see them. Because of that, clearing your browser data deletes them, so use Export in Settings to keep a backup.

Can I keep passwords or private text in it?

You can hide sensitive parts of a snippet so they show as dots on the card but still copy in full, and you can turn on passphrase encryption (AES-256). For high-value secrets such as banking passwords, a dedicated password manager is still the safer choice.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit CopyCat can open without a connection, and you can install it from your browser like an app.

How is this different from my clipboard history?

Clipboard history keeps whatever you copied last. CopyCat keeps the things you choose to keep, organized the way you think about them, and ready with one click or Ctrl+K.

Will there be a browser extension or a mobile app?

Both are being built. Neither will show ads.
